John Malkovich's role in the film "Of Mice and Men" compares to Bobo's role in "A Raisin in the Sun." John playes a role as a sweet man who is slow and is not aware of the harm he may be causing. Bobo is slow as well and has no set goals. Both John and Bobo have a partner who they tell every little thing that goes on in their life. In the film, John tells George when he breaks the woman's neck and in the play, Bobo tells Walter that Willy had left with all the money he had to buy a liquor store. John is a perfect actor for Bobo's role.

Denzel Washington as Karl Linder
Denzel Washington's role in the film "Philadelphia" is much similar to Karl Linder's role in "A Raisin in the Sun." Denzel plays a role of a man who is a homophobe and a small time lawyer. While working on a case he became sympathetic to the man who was homosexual and his views change towards homosexuality. He is polite with manners and well educated. You can say that both Denzel and Karl are niiave. Denzel is naiive to HIV and AIDS while Karl is naiive to the black folks. Karl did not know that the Younger family was going to be nice to him so he was rude at first, but later his views changed and respected their decision. Denzel has the ability to play Karl's role in "A Raisin in the Sun."

Alfanso play's a role of a cocky young man who dreams of having the perfect girl which he calls his "dream girl." Most people may consider him as a Uncle Tom. George Murchison's character was as arrogant as Alfanso Riberio's character. Therefore, Alfanso Ribiero would be a best fir for Murchison's role.
Djimon Housou as Joseph Asagai
Djimon Housou's role in the film "Beauty shop" is quit similar to Joseph Asagai's role in "A Raisin in the Sun." In the film Djimon was a electrician who was in love with Queen Latifah. Like, Joseph he was respectful and charismatic. He was sort of dramatic looking as well. Djimon would be a great actor to play Joseph's role in "A Raisin in the Sun."
Quinton Aaron as Travis Younger
Quinton Aaron's character in "The Blind Side" is similar to Travis Younger's character in "A Raisin in the Sun." In the film, "The Blind Side," Quinton Aaron plays a role of a young boy who is poor and lives in a broken home. Like Travis, Quinton also sleeps on the couch and wished that he can have his own bed. He says, "I never had one before." The lady who takes him in says, "What? Your own room?" He Says, " No, a bed." Quinton was excellent at playing this role. Therefore, Quinton can definitely fit in for Travis' role in "A Raisin in the Sun."
Tessa Thompson as Beneatha Younger
Tessa Thompson's role in the film "For Colored Girls" can compare to Beneatha Younger's role in "A Raisin in the Sun." Like Beneatha Younger, Tessa Thompson is pretty but it's her hair that makes her look pretty. In the film she will be going to college and she is the only one that is smart in the family. Both Tessa and Beneatha needed money for college. Also, she does not have the same views as her mother, just like Beneatha. Their mother are into church and God but Tessa and Beneatha do not believe in all of that. There is no one who can play Beneatha's role better than Tessa Thompson.
Halle Berry as Ruth Younger

In the film Halle Berry is about thirty years old but due to her worries she looks older. She takes care of a small apartment and had problems with her husband because he was on a death row. Yet she tried to hold on to her love for as long as she was able to. Like Ruth, she was fighting poverty when she gets thrown out her house, but she continues to be emotionally strong. Halle Berry is also a beautiful women like Ruth. Halle Berry can play Ruth's character very well.

He feels that because his wife has a job as a secretary and he is unable to find a good job, he was not a man. Due to the fact that he felt this way, it lead him to become aggressive and brought the worst out of him. He had also started drinking because of this depression. They both get slapped because they disrespected their mother. Their goal is to make sure that their family is happy and brought together. In other words, both Loretta and Lena wanted their families to grow. Therefore, Loretta Devine would best fit Lena Younger's role in "A Raisin in the Sun."
