Michael Ealy as Walter Lee Younger

Micheal Ealy's character in the film "For Colored Girls" can relate to Walter Younger's character in "A Raisin in the Sun." In the film Michael is unable to find a good job which causes him to become abusive towards his wife. He feels that because his wife has a job as a secretary and he is unable to find a good job, he was not a man. Due to the fact that he felt this way, it lead him to become aggressive and brought the worst out of him. He had also started drinking because of  this depression. As we can see, Michael's character is very similar to Walter's character. Walter waned to buy a liquor store to feel like he is the man of the house, but because he was not able to achieve his goal he felt angry and would argue with his wife. Like Michael, not having a good job lead Walter to become and alcoholic. Michael Ealy would best fit Walter Younger's role in "A Raisin in the Sun."
